From construction to agriculture, organisations across various industries can rely on Manitou telehandlers to tackle loads of various types. To this end the company produces both the machines themselves and also a number of different attachments that are specifically tuned to tackle tasks that might be faced on work sites, farms and industrial plants. So when you are investing in a used Manitou telehandler it is necessary to work out what each vehicle is designed to achieve and whether any additional attachments are included in the sale price.

The Manitou MHT 10225 is the largest model that the firm offers at the moment, benefitting from a max lift height of 9.7 metres and a capacity of 22,500kg. This substantial machine is, as you would expect, equipped with a telescoping boom that can reach up to 5.8 metres. So for moving loads to places that would be out of reach for smaller telehandlers, this unit is just the machine for the job. It benefits from a diesel engine designed and built by Mercedes, which is a reliable power plant that helps the MHT 10225 to reach speeds of up to 25kmph, ensuring it can cover ground quickly and get to where it is needed without delay. Almost half a metre of ground clearance means the undercarriage is kept away from uneven surfaces and this heavy-duty telehandler will not shy away from tasks that are set it in otherwise hostile environments.

Used Manitou telehandler

The Manitou MLT 845-120 is significantly smaller than its top tier sibling, but retains all of the same underlying qualities that make telehandlers from this manufacturer worth considering. It can lift loads of 4500kg up to heights of 7.55 metres, while the maximum reach of 4.57 metres is impressive, as is the 33kmph top speed. As well as having the option of featuring a fork for pallet handling, it can also be equipped with a bucket to help move and load loose materials wherever such activities are required on site. Plenty of ground clearance and the ability to cope with regular use for prolonged periods ensures that this telehandler is an investment that can quickly cover its own costs. The ergonomic cab is equipped with an adjustable steering wheel, plenty of ventilation and full soundproofing, so the operator will be kept content by the comfort features. Meanwhile the dash contains information on everything you would expect, making it easy to control.

The MT 1135 HA is a sporty-looking telehandler that has a longer body and front stabilisers to ensure that it is well balanced and safe at all times. Whether the boom is equipped with a fork, or indeed a more specialised attachment such as a platform which workers can use to access hard to reach areas, there is a lot going for this model. It can extend to heights of 11 metres, while the reach of 7.75 metres is also admirable. So when seeking used telehandlers, remember to consider the Manitou options that are being sold as they can be effectively deployed in many industries.
