The range of Hyundai tracked excavators is truly extensive, with no less than 21 models from 12.5 to 120 tonnes. They are also referred to as Hyundai crawler excavators and with such a choice of sizes and configurations there is sure to be a Hyundai tracked excavator for almost any application.
The entry level Hyundai tracked excavator is the R125LCR-9A model. It has an operational weight of 12.5 tonnes and a Perkins 1204E engine developing 92hp. It has a bucket capacity of 0.4 cubic metres and a digging depth of 5060mm. The dumping height is 5740mm. The R125LCR-9A also benefits from the Hyundai Hi-Mate remote management system. This unique application has been developed by Hyundai to work with its GPS satellite technologies. Using this system, Hyundai tracked excavator customers can now access enhanced levels of product support and service. With just a simple click, users can evaluate their machine's performance from a remote location, look up diagnostic data and make sure that they know exactly where their machines are and what they are doing. Diagnostic information can identify any potential issues early and prevent hefty service bills, while customers can also use the GPS information to create a virtual fence around a site and prevent the machine from leaving the area.

At the top of the Hyundai tracked excavator range is the R1200-9. This huge machine has an operating weight of 118 tonnes and a bucket capacity of 6.7 cubic metres. The dumping height is 7840mm and the digging force is an incredible 558 kN. The digging depth is a shade over 8 metres. To power the giant there is a powerful Cummins 771hp engine. This is the ultimate machine for the heaviest earth moving duties and it is deployed extensively in the mining and quarrying industries. The machine offers precision and efficiency as well as sheer brute power and has a patented new hydraulic system with three pumps, which offers a superb level of control and power just where and when it is needed. This excellent performance is boosted further by features to improve economy, such as a variable engine speed, which slows the engine when not so much power is required but immediately speeds up when demands increase. There is also an E-Mode and automatic power boost function.
Inside the cabin, operators will find a spacious and comfortable environment with great visibility and enhanced safety features. Their preferred machine settings can instantly be restored from the 7 inch colour touchscreen display, improving efficiency in operation.
The R1200-9 also deploys sophisticated Computer Aided Power Optimisation systems. These constantly tune the engine and make sure both engine and hydraulic power are kept at optimum levels for the job in hand. This use of high technology is combined with good old fashioned strength, with a new design of tubular steel construction that boosts rigidity but reduces weight. It is clear to see that the extensive range of Hyundai tracked excavators benefits from thoughtful design, which takes into account operator comfort, technology, proven engines and robust construction to complete an impressive family of machines.
