The Caterpillar brand is a staple of the plant industry and it makes a range of telehandlers that can cope with load capacities of between 3600kg and almost 5000kg. Variable engines, load heights and attachments are available, making it sensible to consider used models carefully to find out which features they possess. Telehandlers take forklift functionality to new heights, and Caterpillar telehandlers are amongst the best that the market has to offer.

The Caterpillar TH414C GC is a model with an operating weight of just over 10,000kg and a load capacity of up to 3600kg. It can heft loads at heights of up to 13850 millimetres and has built in stabilisers which allow it to go above and beyond what might normally be achievable on a model of this size. The added stability also makes it safer to use, while further enhancing its load capacity. Productivity is also a watchword of this Caterpillar telehandler, since it can travel at a top speed of over 24kmph, overcoming the limitations of rival models in this respect. The hydraulics are not only adaptive and efficient but also quick, meaning the manoeuvring of the boom does not take what seems like an age. And with operational sound kept low, things are more appealing for operators and other site workers alike.

Used CAT Telehandler for Sale

The TH417C can lift heavier loads higher than many other models in the Caterpillar range of telehandlers, with an impressive load capacity of 4000kg and an enhanced max lifting height of 17300mm. This addition to the range is outfitted with an updated engine that is specifically tailored to reduce emissions so that the vehicle can meet the latest EU standards. The hydraulics are also less power hungry while still giving the operator unquestioned control over the movement of the boom. The pump that manages the hydraulics can sense the weight of the load and make adjustments to ensure smooth operation of the boom at all times, while the improved speed means that jobs take less time to complete. The comfortable cab with an optional air suspension seat, interactive LCD monitor and array of wipers is also home to impressive levels of visibility, making on-site operation of this C Series teleloader all the safer.

For longer reaching, the TH336C may be a good choice, as in addition to a larger boom it benefits from impressive ground clearance of 486mm and always-on four wheel drive delivered via its long wheelbase. Traction on loose surfaces and soil is excellent, while the clearance means that bumps and lumps are not a problem for this machine. Like the other telehandlers from Caterpillar, efforts have been made to reduce boom cycle times for this model. It also features a variety of steering modes for maximum nimbleness with minimum hassle. Plenty of standard in-cab features account for its popularity, with rear view mirrors on both sides meaning that the operator can see whatever is coming unhindered. Caterpillar telehandlers make a good purchase for organisations in agricultural and industrial environments that need to handle pallets and other large loads swiftly. And quality used examples make a regular appearance on the market.
